Shut the front door! Did I just hear that the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is coming back to Netflix with a special interactive episode?! I think I may be in heaven! Creator Tina Fey made the surprise announcement that an all-new interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special is set to debut on Netflix in 2020.
Netflix is not new to these interactive types of shows and after the success it had with Black Mirror Bandersnatch, I can see more and more series following suit to the popular way to watch TV. Check out my Bandersnatch review below!
But unlike Bandersnatch, audiences already knows and loves the characters from the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, so this will make for an interesting experiment to watch unfold!
Tine Fey: “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”
